Nicholas Kirkwood x Keith Haring

On my last trip to Hong Kong I was so super excited to see these amazing one of a kind shoes on display. They were at Lane Crawford in Kowloon and I can't believe how lucky I was with my timing.

At first I thought maybe they were for sale and I frantically ran down a sales person and asked to try on anything they had left in my size. No luck though... these were all made as one-offs and are now part of a traveling exhibit. They started off in Kirkwoods flagship London boutique and now travel to the world's most prestigious boutiques.

Aren't they incredible!? The roller skates are so much fun!

Delema: WTF Do I Wear??

Ok, I have about an hour to make a decision here and I'd LOVE your help! QUICK!
Tonight I'm going to a big ol cocktail party hosted by Adrienne Maloof and I can't decide what to wear!! Here are my options:

This dress is amazing! By Phillip Lim...

They look like matte sequins but they are LEATHER!! SO cool!

I love the sleeve detail <3

This one by Miu Miu is more simple but fits like a glove and is plain so my shoe choices are broader...

The shoes:

 YSL mohawk pumps

Ganmarco Lorenzi lace/stud/bow bump

Argh! too aggressive? DSquared spine shoes. Vivienne Westwood rhinestone devil horns

Kirkwood splatter paint pumps, J.Crew necklace

Louboutin Daffodil pump

HELP HELP HELP ME!!!! Please :)

Oh Kirkwood...

First, he shows us these for Spring...

I love these. Everything about these. (a mere $2153.70 HERE)

And then there are these for Fall.

In the words of Rachel Zoe... I die.
I'm dead.
I died.
I love these a lot. A LOT.

I love Kirkwood a lot. A really lot lot.
I love how these heels look like carved soap or ivory. Well, not so much ivory cause that would be pretty terrible. Not clubbing baby seals terrible but... you know. I like elephants a lot. All animals really. Well, not sharks but I don't want to KILL them either. Unless they kill people then go ahead.

Deep blogging I know, but this is what I have for you.
I've been really sick and on top of that I haven't been feeling very inspired. I also feel like I'm talking to myself for some reason. Like nobody's out there.
Ever feel like that??

Hmph.

I love you Kirkwood. Keep up the good work :)

Party time.

Truth be told, it wasn't much of a party but sometimes you just wanna get dressed up, put on some killer shoes, and feel cute. So I did.

**ADDITION**

I need to bust out this sequin bra again! It's fun to revisit posts and remind myself of things I love. Speaking of which, I've only wore these shoes twice!! I need to bust them out again soon.

Baby Shower!

So last night I went to what turned out to be the most awesome baby shower I've ever been to. It was actually more of a cocktail party staring a very cute pregnant friend of mine! I've honestly never been in a room with that many women in my life- my friend Heidi has more girl friends than girls I've met, I swear. There were a few subtle baby games and a station where you could decorate onesies bibs and burping cloths.
My favorite was the bellini bar!

Anyway, I rocked my Nicholas Kirkwoods and this super cute skirt I picked up at Forever 21. I love this Thomas Wylde clutch too- spices up any outing. Arrrgh  ;)

Spring Preview...

A few websites are starting to show some Spring preview shoes. It's so weird to be sitting here with my heater on, thinking of Spring footwear.
I bought my first Spring shoe the other day at good old Christian Louboutin... A sweet little espadrille that looks SO cute on- it's stupid. I got them in black, but I'm thinking I should exchange them for the white, pictured here. What do you think??

And I just adore these cute shoes by Chloe! Don't you? They're adorable and perfect for the end of Fall, and a smooth transition into Spring. I love the color and the delicate little straps and buckles. Not to mention the fact that it's a wedge which means walkability! These would be cute with tights and then in warmer months, go bare!

Last but not least- another amazing transition shoe... these "OMG I EFFING WANT THESE MOTHER EFFING SHOES" amazing Nicholas Kirkwood beauties. I mean... seriously.
*drool*

They're on pre-order here. I love.

Gratuitous Showing Off...

Soooo, I came home form China this morning and had my company holiday party to go to tonight. I figured it was the perfect time to debut my beautiful new shoes!! :)

They were a hit! And guess what... they were even comfortable! Like, totally comfortable- not just comfy for sexy hot amazing shoes.

There's my hot date. My Ben. He's so cute, he totally wore a pink shirt to compliment my party dress. Awee.

Shhhh... Don't Tell Ben!

I totally just went and bought these amazingly SICK Nicholas Kirkwood shoes! I saw them on the Jak & Jill blog and was sold! I mean, come on... these are perfect.

What's better? I went to look for them at Seven New York, one of the few websites that carries them, and there was a 36 and 39 left!! I'm usually a 38.5 but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Yippee!

I decided in a dream last night that I need to own a pair of Kirkwoods. I mean, he is fabulous and I love fabulous shoes... it makes perfect sense. So I made my dream come true so to speak. haha.

I'll update you as soon as they arrive :)

I'm Kinda in Love with This One...

I love Nicholas Kirkwood and this fabulous platform of his. I think I posted a shoe from last season with this same shape, but I like this on even better.
I love how it's high up on the foot while still being opened up and sexy.
The only thing I would change would be to make the upper in leather instead of satin, because I always feel like satin shoes aren't as wearable.
(ex: these GORGEOUS Marni shoes I bought and only wore once before they were ruined by someone carrying and umbrella, scraping the metal tip of the umbrella across my shoe and causing the material to rip.)
Anyway- check out the cool detailing. I love the pop of electric blue snake on the heel. It's sexy and unexpected.
I found these at Browns of London for £470.00
