One Last Flat Post (For a While)

HELLO!! I've been in Mexico with my hunny bunny celebrating our anniversary so sorry for the silence. I'm back and excited for my spine shoes that are coming in any day now. They got stuck in customs but will hopefully be here Saturday. Fingers crossed!! I have the Emmys Saturday too so I'd like to have the option to wear them just in case I feel like being ultra fierce and perhaps looking like a tranny.

You guys are probably sick of flats so I promise I wont post flats for a while after today. You gotta admit these are pretty great though. Do I look tan?

There she goes with her crop top and vintage culottes again. I like what I like. What can I say.

Yes that's a bolo tie! Hey Wendy B... you like??

This outfit needs some OMG rings.

These are the white pair from Chloe that I was talking about in my other flat post. I love a good deal and I love Chloe so I totally won.

Flats are Shoes Too.

I know this is my life in heels and not my life in flats, but let's get real... certain occasions call for flats. Example? A birthday bbq!

I went shopping specifically to find some flats and knew I'd find something great on sale since all these crazy retailers have their Summer stuff on sale... EVEN THOUGH Summer has barely started. I will never understand that, but that's a whole different post.

I found these at Chloe and fell in love. They are my idea of a perfect Summer sandal. Soft buttery leather, the perfect shade of tobacco, and super comfortable too. The fact that they were 40% off was all the reason I needed to buy them, plus a similar pair in white.

I've really been into this cropped shirt thing and thought I'd give it a try. I had to pair it with these vintage high waisted shorts (culottes? haha) to make sure I didn't show too much belly. I'm not going for a '90s Britney Spears bare midriff thing.

Banksy likes my new shoes. He's checkin' um out.

I love this ring. I found it in Hong Kong and don't wear it nearly enough. Its coral enamel wrapped around to hold a coral shaped piece of glass.

OTK!! OMG!

So it's no newsflash that over the knee boots are the SHIT this fall, but I just wanted to share a few of my favorites with you from every price! :)

This super chic (and surprisingly cheap) version from Chinese Laundry was an instant hit when worn on Gossip Girl last year! They sold out practically the day after the episode aired. At under $100, I'm not surprised. There are tons of look-alikes on sites like zappos and heels.com

Jane of Sea of Shoes has been wearing these CO-OP boots lately and I really dig them! They'll cost you about $750 which is a good chunk of change, but a great investment. Their style is on trend but also pretty timeless.

I really love my Chloe OTK's. They make me all warm and fuzzy. I can not for the life of me find them on line but THESE are very similar in shape, (same heel and toe shape) but are in suede and have a little more detail on the top back. These are about $1200

Now these Stella McCartney boots are for professionals only ladies and gents. No, I don't mean ladies of the night... These are seriously serious boots. They are way passed over the knee- these babies are thigh-mother-effing-high. Don't mess around. Especially at $1595...

The downside is of course, Stella's aversion to using animal carcass as fashion.
Meaning? Well, meaning that these are going to make you sweat like a whore in church. But, if stanky thighs are your thing... do it! I'll sit here being jealous.

YSL kills it every season. This is no exception. I DIE for this boot and wish I could get them, but at $1700 they're over my price range. Amazing though, right? What a sexy little demi-wedge shape and simple clean silhouette. I love the little flair on the back too. Yum yum yum.

Now you know my buddy Christian was going to come out with an over the top over the knee, right? Well these amazing boots are the most expensive on my list but are so beautiful... they're worth it. That is, if you can afford it.
Que drool.

Ah Louboutin. You sure know how to dress a lady's feet. Next time I have an extra $1995 to spare, I'll be seeing you.

Gettin My Boot on

Hello! I was unusually excited to wake up to an overcast sky today. Why? Well, because I knew I could finally wear my new ChloƩ boots! Yippee!

These are my first pair of thigh high boots and I adore them. I always thought these kind of boots looked slutty and very Pretty Woman, but these for some reason are more sexy than slutty. More sleek than skank. They also fold down nicely for an over the knee look.
The leather is super soft and buttery and there is a gold accent on the inside of the heel. LOVE them.

I got them at Intermix and I can't find them anywhere online. :(

Spring Preview...

A few websites are starting to show some Spring preview shoes. It's so weird to be sitting here with my heater on, thinking of Spring footwear.
I bought my first Spring shoe the other day at good old Christian Louboutin... A sweet little espadrille that looks SO cute on- it's stupid. I got them in black, but I'm thinking I should exchange them for the white, pictured here. What do you think??

And I just adore these cute shoes by Chloe! Don't you? They're adorable and perfect for the end of Fall, and a smooth transition into Spring. I love the color and the delicate little straps and buckles. Not to mention the fact that it's a wedge which means walkability! These would be cute with tights and then in warmer months, go bare!

Last but not least- another amazing transition shoe... these "OMG I EFFING WANT THESE MOTHER EFFING SHOES" amazing Nicholas Kirkwood beauties. I mean... seriously.
*drool*

They're on pre-order here. I love.

Ground Control to Major Tom...

Balenciaga has gone mad. And not in a good way.

Sorry B, but these shoes are shitteous. I am not digging the trend towards pointy toes. Let's leave that trend in 2003 shall we? I do NOT miss them. Almost the entire Chloe fall 09 runway show had these weird pointy toes. I really don't get it. I mean, I do realize that trends go in opposites (ex: super skinny jeans one year, HUGE flairs the next) but these are just not flattering. I want my feet to look smaller, not bigger and witchier.

Anway, I don't like these and I can't imagine why you would, but if you do, please tell me WHY.

Rock 'n Roll Fantasy

First off- I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL labor day weekend full of fun and sunshine!! I missed my blog, and it's good to be back ;)
*   *   *

So never in "real life" would I wear these shoes, but I can't help loving them. They are so bad ass and rock 'n roll! Only the baddest of rocker chic girls can pull these off.

Trust me, I'd love to put together a killer outfit and rock these one night, but at a steep $1245, it's not gonna happen unless I win the lotto or something.  Until then I'll continue to put together fantasy outfits to wear to fantasy parties where people will point and whisper, "damn that girl's got style."

For those of you with money to play though- i'd say go for it. You can find them at Barneys, by Chloe.

Um, not so much.

I'm not feeling these floppy wedges by Chloe at all. I'm usually a huge fan of Chloe... but this time I think they missed the mark. Big time. I think these are matronly and sloppy looking and I'm not sure which trend they think this supposed to represent.
Hmmm. What do you guys think??
